"As early as in 2020, 70 percent of all the purchased software is Russian-made. We have signed a cooperation agreement, which assumes the use of RED SOFT products for testing the Russian operating system RED OS in the government bodies of the Kaliningrad region. Perhaps this software will be later installed on the government employees' workplaces", - explained Vadim Ryskal.
"Transition to domestic software in government bodies is one of the most important tasks of digital transformation of the state. It is of special importance to make the transition " painless". In addition to a straightforward interface and wide functionality due to technological compatibility with a large number of domestic products, RED OS operating system meets security criteria, which will provide a reliable and convenient working environment. We would like to thank the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Communications of the Kaliningrad Region for the confidence!", Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, commented the signing of the agreement.
"Today a number of financial bodies of the Kaliningrad region use BFT software to automate the budget process. Together with our partner, the RED SOFT Company, we regularly conduct testing to ensure compatibility of our products. This approach allows regions to build a comprehensive IT infrastructure based on domestic software step by step and without unnecessary difficulties. We are pleased that this agreement strengthens our intentions to further actively develop the import substitution policy in the Kaliningrad region", - Natalia Zeytenidi, Commercial Director of BFT Company, notes.
Specialists of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Communications of the Kaliningrad region by the end of 2020 will prepare a hardware and software bench for modeling the standard work of the automated workplace (AWP) of state employees, operating under the RED OS operating system in the regional computer network of the executive authorities (including the AWP based on Intel, AMD, Baikal, Elbrus processors); they will analyze the functionality of the RED OS for the administration of the AWP of state employees, setting up security policies and access delimitation as well as the functions of the information security systems.
Vadim Ryskal noted that by the beginning of 2021 some executive authorities of the Kaliningrad region will be selected for pilot implementation of RED OS as the main operating system.
It is planned to hold conferences, introductory seminars, training courses and to provide technical support for the effective implementation of domestic software. A training center and competence center will be set up on the basis of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Communications of the Kaliningrad region to support users and system administrators who use domestic software.
