SCALA-R VRM VDI solution now supports RED OS

The new version of the SCALA-R VRM (Virtual Workplace) VDI solution supports the RED OS as the operating system of access devices and as a virtual desktop or terminal server OS.

Within the framework of cooperation between the manufacturer of modern products for building IT infrastructure SCALA-R and one of Russia's leading suppliers of IT solutions - RED SOFT - a new version of SCALA-R VRM has implemented support for RED OS. Now it is possible to connect the RED OS based APs to SCALA-R VRM and work with virtual desktops on Microsoft Windows and Linux, which, for example, will help to switch from foreign operating systems to domestic ones. RED OS will also be available when connecting to a terminal server or a virtual desktop.

Customers who already use RED OS as the primary operating system will be able to use it for virtual desktop infrastructure on both the AP side and the virtual desktop side.

SCALA-R is a modern product line for building IT infrastructure. RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations, that provides a universal environment for application software. The product is certified by the FSTEC of Russia (№4060 of 12.01.2019), that confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases of the Ministry of Communications of Russia (No.3751).
