Udmurt State University and RED SOFT signed an agreement on academic, scientific and technical cooperation.
To support the computer lab of the "Information Security" faculty, the university will receive the Russian operating system RED OS. Students will have the opportunity to study and actively use the RED OS in their education process.
RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations, that provides a universal environment for application software. The product is certified by the FSTEC of Russia (№4060 of 12.01.2019), that confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases of the Ministry of Communications of Russia (No.3751).
"To develop import substitution in the field of software, qualified personnel are needed. The development of future IT specialists is one of the priority areas of RED SOFT. We express our gratitude to the university authorities for the joint contribution to the development of the national IT industry", Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, noted.
"Today, when training personnel for the digital economy of the region, we cannot but pay attention to the transition and use of domestic information and communication technologies in the business processes of organizations. The opening of the Center of Competence for RED SOFT products at the Institute of Law, Social Management and Security "FGBOU VO UdGU" will allow students of Information Security and Jurisprudence specialties to adapt to this transition and gain skills both in thee operating system usage and in the administration of operating systems, as one of the measures to ensure information security in an organization", Galina Vitalyevna Merzlyakova, Rector of the Udmurt State University, noted.
